Arriving by plane: Liszt Ferenc International Airport
Taxi: please use only official licensed Taxi companies. The official taxi company of airport is Főtaxi, reservations can be made in person at the Főtaxi booths located at the exits. A one-way ride from the airport to the event venue/ city center is approximately 9000 HUF (27 EUR).
Airport Shuttle Bus Nr. 100E: a direct bus line that connects the airport with the city center, it has only a few stops. One-way ticket is 900 HUF (2,7 EUR).
Regular public transportation: with bus Nr. 200E you can get to the end station of the metro M3 (underground), which takes you to the city center within a few minutes. Please note, due to the refurbishment of the metro, it is being replaced by buses on the weekends. Ticket can be bought at the airport, but you need to use a new ticket every time you change buses. Cost of one ticket is 350 HUF.
Commuting between the event and the accommodation
If you arrive already on Friday you may consider buying a 72 hours ticket for 4150 HUF: this is valid for unlimited number of trips within the given 72 hours.
All types of tickets can be bought at the Customer Service Points at the airport, or at the metro stations and main junctions. You can pay by credit/debit card.
Arriving by Train
If you arrive by train you are getting either to Nyugati (Western) or Keleti (Eastern) railway stations. These are also the biggest public transport junctions of Budapest with access to metro lines, buses and trains.
All types of tickets and passes can be bought at in the customer service points or from the ticket vending machines.
